Very delicious and fresh sushi-grade fish! I highly recommend arriving at opening as parking is very limited and there may be a longer wait to get a table during busy hours. The staff is very accommodating and respectful and the portions, especially for lunch, are very filling. My favorites are the sushi assortments or bentos, which let you have small portions of many foods. Their tempura and other appetizers are also very delicious Whenever my lunch schedule allows, I will be back again at opening!

Very impressive authentic Japanese restaurant. Food was amazing. My recommendation is Ankimo(monk fish liver), and sashimi with love sweet shrimp. You eat shrimp as raw sashimi and heads will be fried for you to eat. I loved fried shrimp head. I recommend if you love authentic japanese food experience in Virginia. Be aware that price is bit high

Place was ok. Look like old place been there so long time. Sushi and foods were ok. I would give 7/10. I don’t like salad too sour compared another place. The price a little pricey compared another place. Service was ok 7/10. But I still tips 20%. I didn’t like the way how they put Sashimi on white plate. Never see another place do like this before. All of these $160. No ordered drink

I’ve been coming to this place for the since 1995 and as we were visiting Washington DC, we went back to celebrate a birthday. Excellent and fresh selection of sushi with seasonal offerings. We love Uni so…. Highly recommended! Reservations recommended.

The and mean the best spicy tuna in the world. I have eaten spicy tuna on every continent and I keep coming back here. I first ate at Tachibana in the early 80s. Was great then and it’s still great. Unfortunately Aji-San is no longer with or Armando. Which is sad and most of the staff has changed. But the atmosphere and food have remained. I used to keep a bottle there but having moved to the west coast I had to give that up. Love this place.

This is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants we have ever been to! Wonderful and attentive service, and terrific food! They have menu items that we can’t find anywhere else. The sushi is incredibly fresh and delicious. All our food tastes great and was very authentic! We have been here several times and have gotten many new to us items that we will definitely get again! It’s a great place to go if you are looking to try something new and unique that you haven’t tried before.

We came here for a weekday dinner, and we had good experiences dining here. The fish liver appetizer is nice. The chicken skewer and grilled fish are also both nice, but the grilled fish skin was a bit too burnt for me. The deluxe sushi plate is very good except the uni is very smelling & almost disgusting on this particular day. We may come back to give it another try & see if it’s a one-off issue vs a persistent one. Besides uni, all other items are delicious and authentic.
